Heat loss calculation
A boiler replacement or heat pump installation needs to start with a thorough room-by-room heat loss survey to calculate heat loss. This provides the solid data required to design an efficient heating system.
Our bespoke design service also takes into account building regulations, the MCS standards, and your personal usage requirements, before we finalise the design and provide a quotation.
Our mission is to help you keep your home comfortably warm for less – and thus reduce your carbon footprint – through the use of five key elements:
- Insulation
- Low temperature condensing boiler and or heat pump
- Smart controls
- Weather compensation
- Renewable technologies
We also offer thermal imaging which can help identify fabric losses and make clear where to make changes to the building envelope. This will improve the carbon footprint of the building and reduce running costs.
Heat loss survey images
These infrared thermal imaging reveal the warm and cold areas of the house – ie where heat is escaping. Room interior images show where underfloor heating pipes run, and can identify any problems or malfunctions. And it confirms that, as they say, a dog has a cold nose and a warm heart!
